Huacaya Alpacas

How could Starr be anything but spectacular? Her mother LMFI & MFI Beonka is a three time color champion and her sire A.L. Paca's Andromeda's Galaxy (Andy) is an 11 time color champion! Starr's fleece is black, shiny and dense. We are delighted to get a black from these two brown animals. Starr started her show career in NY with a second at Empire and a third at NEAOBA in black juvenile class. Took the blue in her next show, OABA! She returned to the ring as a yearling with first and second places in New York. At PAOBA a day after her second birthday, she easily took the Blue in 2YO. She crowned the show year with winning the Reserve Champion banner at the 2016 VAOBA Expo. Starr is a fabulous producer! She delivered her first cria, by Revolution's Vincenzo in April 2018, a black female. She delivered a beautiful black female cria sired by Snowmass Kahoolowe in spring 2019 . She and our champion herdsire Juno produced a dense, shiny true black male in 2020 Shooter, who already has 3 banners to his name! In 2021 Starr delivered a black female who earned a reserve championship at her showing as a juvenile at Heart of Virginia. Her 2022 cria sired by our dark silver grey Simon is another female. Wow! 5 black crias, 4 of them female! 3 of whom have earned championships! Worth her weight in gold. She comes with a breeding to any Wildwood herdsire. Solstice received a Championship banner in her first show season and her second as a yearling! She is one quarter Accoyo and daughter of 21-time Halter Champion, HRF Peruvian Challenger. In their first spring show season, Challenger's crias have earned five Championship banners. Solstice has excellent conformation and bone structure. Her fiber is carrying on the great qualities of her sire in her extreme density and finess, softness of handle, excellent luster and a highly defined tight crimp. Solstice has the awesesome face of the typey alpaca style and terrific top knot and leg coverage. In the grey classes, Solstice received a blue ribbon in her first and the reserve Championship in her second halter show! As a yearling, just before her first breeding, she took her second reserve Championship as a rose grey. Her first two crias have already earned their championships: She paired her strengths with an awesome male, Man in Black, to produce Juno, a bay black male who as a yearling was the Black Halter Champion at the Royal Alpaca Challenge (GA). Her Dorian cria is a gorgeous brown male who has done well in the ring, earning a reserve championship behind his older brother Juno at the 2016 Heart of Virginia show. Together the boys got Solstice a blue ribbon in Produce of Dam. Her 3rd cria, Comet, is a white male, sired by Revolution's Grayson. Her 4th cria, Orion, took the blue in black juvenile class at his first show at 6 months old. Her 5th cria, by Rolex Legend, is a fawn, another blue ribbon winner, named Sully. She and Man in the Moon's Peruvian Ganymede had a handsome white male 2020 cria. Her cria by Andromeda's Dante in Spring 2021 is a large fawn female. 2022 cria by our champion fawn Brody is a sturdy light fawn male. In July 2023, she delivered a medium brown female sired by dark silver grey Simon.

Beonka is one of the best animals in our herd who has significantly improved our herd with her offspring. We bought her after she had already won two championships and she earned her third with us. This brown beauty has presence, with dense, consistent fleece and an easy to manage temperament. An easy birther and good mother, she has given us 7 very nice crias, 4 fawns, a black and 2 browns. Two of her fawn males and her black female have earned championships, and her most recent fawn daughter is absolutely outstanding. Her 2022 cria, after a repeat breeding by Still Meadow Farm Blizzard, is a beautiful fawn female.

Sired by Hall of Fame Herdsire Dom Lucilio out of a black Chilean import, Luc's Baroness is a bay black female with highly crimped, dense fleece and excellent coverage. She is gentle and sweet, easy going. Over the years, she has consistently given us good natured crias with excellent fleece. We often refer to our "Baroness line" as they're all special animals who become farm favorites. They did well in the ring, too. Tess excelled in halter, Kira earned a fiber championship. Her 2012 cria Marquis is a bay black male, sired by 21 time champion HRF Peruvian Challenger who earned two blues and a red ribbon in his first show season as a juvie and went on to earn a black color championship. Her next cria, Regina, was a brown female born in 2014, followed by the last, cute Baron sired by champion rose grey Josey Wales "Nessie" had made major upgrades to our herd all by herself - award winning crias with very nice temperaments and three grand crias.

An award-winning full Peruvian, and the only white offspring of 5Peruvian Chinchero, a true black herdsire imported from the Maychapampa herd in Peru, Jewel is no ordinary white alpaca! Her dam, Marcela, produced the famous grey herdsire Silver Dollar, and the well respected fawn herdsire, Show Me the Money. Jewel's pedigree literally sparkles with quality and color. She has full coverage, great density and, according to show judge Mary Reed, "her handle is like butter it's so soft". A fine foundation female with heavy bone, excellent conformation, who is an easy birther and devoted mother, Jewel has given us six wonderful crias, light and dark but always with fabulous fleece. Her last cria, a bright white female was sired by A.L. Paca's Exclusivo, a champion medium brown. Her breeding days are now over but her fleece is still surprisingly nice. The oldest alpaca on our farm who has given us 6 gorgeous crias of all colors, Jewel is cherished and will live out her life with us. Retired, with grace.

Atlaanta has a gorgeous dark reddish brown color, with black tips, balanced conformation and butter soft fleece. Judge Diana Timmerman described her as stylish with proper bone structure, awarding her a 4th in a highly competitive class of 11. Shorn, her show career ended on a very positive note with taking 2nd place in the dark brown composite class at the 2007 Mapaca Jubilee. Atlaanta's breeding career started with a fabulous fawn female sired by Maple Brook Andre, coming into the world unassisted at 18lbs. She passes the traits of the service sire to her crias. Three female crias in a row: a fawn, a dark brown and a silver grey. We repeated the silver grey breeding with HDF Hunter and Atlaanta delivered a fabulous silver grey male. Her third Hunter cria was an 18lb gorgeous brown female, Charlotte, followed by brown Savannah and beige Tallahassee. She is a very easy birther, good mom who nursed her 2012 son and grandson at the same time!

Katniss is a striking silver grey female, sired by grey halter champion HDF Hunter and our true black Dark Contessa, a futurity runner-up. Both parents have wonderful temperaments and Katniss carries this trait on. She has that classic grey coloring and has fine fiber. We wouldn't sell her if we weren't retiring!

Idola’s dam is the 2006 first place winner at AOA National halter, first place and Reserve Champion fleece show at 2006 National. She is also the 3X Color Champion at halter plus first in halter at the 2005 Futurity. Patagonia’s Lennox, the sire of Idola, is a multiple Get of Sire winner and has multiple championships. He has sired too many color champions to name. (Density: 83.25 SQ MM and Rates in the top 0.5% of all alpacas tested by Dr. Evans). Idola is an exceptional female representing color genetics at its finest. Look at the color of that Golden Fleece. Her 2020 cria by our champion black Juno is a soft, dense brown female. Her 2022 cria, sired by Snowmass Black Velvet, is a dark fawn male.

Serena is the beautiful lookalike daughter of Estates Silver Simone and our champion black herdsire Juno. She is Juno's first cria on the ground and our choice to use him on this valuable female was clearly justified by the results personified by Serena! Silky soft, dense fleece and solid conformation will surely be rewarded in the show ring. At VAOBA, they declared her a Multi Color because she had 7 spots. She continued to compete in the Multi class at Southern Select and CABO. At all 3, she earned the blue ribbon. Judges loved her. One judge's comment was: "beautiful fiber with great density, very uniform fleece and great conformation. Not sure what color she wants to be yet". At the Heart of Virginia show in April, Arturo Pena admired her soft dense fleece and predicts she will be showing in the grey classes next year. Serena's first cria is a dark silver grey male, sired by our silver grey herdsire, HDF Hunter. Her 2022 cria is a female sired by our champion black. Challenger's Marquis. Serena is a wonderful mother and her 2022 cria is the largest of the season. Serena comes with a breeding to any Wildwood herdsire.

Tallie has a dense, soft fleece. She is the SIXTH girl (of 7 crias) out of our Maple Brook Atlaanta, a marvelous mother who almost always passes on the sire's color. Her crias tend to be fast growing and large. Tallie's sire is the multi champion Crescent Moon's Double Clutch who was the 2010 National White Color Champion. Like her siblings before her, Tallie is a curious and friendly female who is a farm favorite. In her first two show appearances, she has two ribbons in her collection. Tallie took a third place in the Heart of Virginia show and was noted for a very fine fleece, just not as fine as the two above her. Tallie easily delivered a beautiful, pure white female cria by Rolex Legend and proves that good mothering traits are inherited! Her 2022 cria, Tyler, is a handsome dark male sired by our dark silver grey herdsire Simon.

Kira is a sweet, diminutive true black female who is a breeder rehome after her buyers dispersed their herd. She had suffered severe skin problems at her farm in Florida and we have been able to clear up the active infections with antibiotics and daily topical treatments. It is doubtful that her fiber will regrow but we continue to treat the exposed areas. She has easily blended back into her birth herd where her grandmother Baroness remains a foundation dam. Kira has been adopted by Jessica.

Sadie is the daughter of a flashy light silver grey mother with great density and fleece character and a multi-champion brown father, A. L. Paca's Andromeda Galaxy. Her fineness and handle are superb. The character of her fleece, along with the density she is exhibiting serve her well as she passes on these traits to her crias. She did well in her first shows and would have attended and ribboned more had it not been for COVID restrictions. In the VAOBA Expo, Sadie placed 4 of 8 by Amanda VandenBosch. Wonderful capacity, but growing so quickly that her fleece was just not as fine as others in the class. Her first cria in Spring 2021, sired by Snowmass Midnight Lover, is a gorgeous true black female who has earned two banners! Her second cria, a female by fawn champion Brody, produced a beautiful fawn female whose show winnings are all halter first places plus 1 reserve championship. Sadie has unassisted deliveries and she is a very devoted mother who can throw color. She would be a productive addition to any breeding program!

Brody has a compact body type coupled with awesome fleece characteristics. Fiber everywhere, square and sturdy frame, he stands right up and lets you know he's there. Combine that great presence and fiber characteristics with a laid back personality, this guy is what we are breeding for. His staple length is long, with density, fineness and that amazing staple character we wish they all had. And he tops all that off with a magnificent head! Brody is the offspring of his awesome multi champion brown dam LMFI & MFI Peruvian Beonka, and his white multi champion dad, Rolex Legend whose fiber is absolutely exquisite. As a juvenile, Brody went to his first few shows, walking out with 2nd place in some very competitive groups. As a yearling, he grew up and really came into his own and took Fawn Color Champion at the VAOBA Fall Derby and Reserve Champion in the walking fleece. We were hoping for more springtime shows, but alas, the shows were cancelled due to COVID. Brody continued to grow and mature and although he still has a compact body type, he is packing on that fiber like a champ that he is! Brody has sired two crias so far, a female with 3 firsts and a reserve fawn halter color championship and the male was purchased from us as a juvenile. Brody can add fawn color and exquisite fiber to your herd for many years to come

Sired by the renowned 21 time champion HRF Peruvian Challenger, Marquis was destined to make his mark. A friendly and easily handled boy, his fleece is buttery soft, very uniform, and has great staple structure. In his first show at barely 6 months, he took the blue in the juvenile bay black class with the comment of 'clear winner in the class' by judge Helen Humphries. His second show was CABO where he took second place, and at Southern Select he made us proud taking first place again in a large group of juvenile bay black males. Amanda VandenBosch was very impressed with his staple length and uniformity of fleece throughout his blanket and along the staple. 5 halter blue ribbons and finally a halter reserve championship at the Virginia Classic! Wade Gease awarded him a banner in fleece competition, saying "very fine - a positive staple length, good shine and brightness." So nice to have both a halter and a fleece championship! We offer mobile breedings within 75 miles. (P.S. He's Judy's favorite alpaca!) His 2019 cria is a dark silver grey male out of light silver grey Estates Simone and in 2021 a black female who won a reserve halter championship as a juvenile! Walkin' the walk and talkin' the talk - Hunter has proven himself in the show ring and in fleece competitions and even has a Reserve Color Champion banner and multiple halter and fleece ribbons to prove it. Judge Wade Gease's award of the Reserve Color Championship to Hunter and his comments on how incredibly uniform and truly beautiful Hunter's fleece displayed is priceless. This stud is the bomb! Hunter has got it all and has matured into quite a stunning silver stud. We're proud to offer this upcoming grey sire for your consideration; those breeding for blacks and greys know the good stuff when they see it. This bay black two time champion has a pedigree that reads like the who's who in alpacas. As the son of two champions: CCNF Man in Black (5 times banner winner) and our HRF Peruvian Solstice (2 times banner winner) he has impressed the judges with his solid conformation and fine fiber. In his first appearance as a yearling, he took the Black Color Championship, "the clear winner" according to judge Arturo Pena at the Royal Alpaca Challenge in Georgia. Check out his early histogram - a 15.8 micron black - awesome! In 2016 he picked up his second championship at the Heart of Virginia show with his younger half brother earning the Reserve. Juno has a quiet, laid back nature. A natural breeder, our girls quickly cushed for him in his first breeding season. His first cria is a female light silver grey, from a full Peruvian light silver grey dam. The next two are true black males from a dark fawn and a dark brown female. His most recent two are a very dense true black male and a seriously soft medium brown female. He's already our "go to" herdsire when we have a female resisting breeding! The girls love him, which is half the battle.
